Join us Monday, June 24th at Eco Park Trailhead for our Saint Jean Baptiste Day Celebration!
St. Jean Baptiste Day is celebration of the summer solstice and a feast of the nativity of Saint John the Baptist.
Frenchtown, Saint Charles is steeped in history handed down from our original French Canadian settlers, and this day in particular, is a celebration of our unique French history and heritage.
We will have live musicians, games, food trucks, and attendance prizes . Admission is free to the public. Just see all the featured fun stuff we have in store for all our neighbors!
We’ve got two food trucks providing delicious, original, Cajun and French style cuisine:
Music will be provided by Colin Blair and the charming and talented Claudia Hensley.
Colin Blair is an accomplished musician with a mastery of several different stringed instruments, including guitar and fiddle–the list goes on. If it has strings and makes music, chances are Colin knows how to play it. His genres include blues, bluegrass, folk, and traditional. He has an authentic style, yet unclassifiable, but perfect for our historic celebration.
Claudia Hensley is a young, up and coming musician, and a regular on the local music scene. She plays a wide variety of acoustic covers and originals, and is a seasoned pro at getting the crowd involved! Whether you want to sing along, or just listen, she’s sure to play something you’ll love.
